I have found out that reading is a slavish sort of dreaming. If I must dream, why not my own dreams?

I'm nothing,
I'll always be nothing.
I can't even wish to be something.
Aside from that, I've got all the world's dreams inside me.

My dreams are a stupid refuge, like an umbrella against a thunderbolt.

God wills, man dreams, the work is born.

Knowing not to have illusions is absolutely necessary in order to have dreams.

What's most worthless about dreams is that everybody has them.
