What I focus on instead is growing a little every day, becoming a better actress, a better human, day by day, moving closer to the vision I have for myself. I don't see life in terms of years. I just hope to keep evolving, learning, and growing with each passing day.

People ask how I play something such as a marriage conflict or the loss of a loved one; I don't use emotional memories for that, because I feel like it's the most temporary thing for an actor to hold on to. Sometimes, you really have to forget who you are and just focus on the feeling of the emotion – to what degree the person you're portraying would feel it – and go for it.
