Lay the proud usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow—
Let us do or die!

Freedom and Whisky gang thegither.

Be Briton still to Britain true,
Among oursel's united;
For never but by British hands
Maun British wrangs be righted.

A fig for those by law protected! Liberty's a glorious feast!
Courts for cowards were erected,
Churches built to please the priest.

Posthumous Pieces (1799)
