When we receive the Eucharist, Jesus does the same to us: he knows us, he knows we are sinners and we make so many mistakes, but he does not give up joining his life to ours. He knows we need it, because the Eucharist is not the prize of saints, but the Bread of sinners.
Quando riceviamo l'Eucaristia, Gesù fa lo stesso con noi: ci conosce, sa che siamo peccatori e sbagliamo tanto, ma non rinuncia a unire la sua vita alla nostra. Sa che ne abbiamo bisogno, perché l'Eucaristia non è il premio dei santi, ma il Pane dei peccatori.
