Even old age views not with eyes of love
The gates of Hades.

It is no weakness for the wisest man
To learn when he is wrong.
A prudent mind can see room for misgiving, lest he who prospers should one day suffer reverse.
When the mind hath once become a parent of evil, it teaches men to be evil thenceforth.
I well believe it, to unwilling ears;None love the messenger who brings bad news.
Evil seems good, soon or late, to him whose mind the god draws to mischief.
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind.
To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.
Not for the body, but for the heart; companion and company are needed.
Love seldom haunts the breast where learning lies,
And Venus sets ere Mercury can rise.
